Reviving dead body parts?

This is a 20 minute film about reviving dead organisms done in the 1920’s. In the first 5 minutes of the film scientists revive the heart, lungs, and even the head of a dead dog. The head is still sensitive to touch, smell, hearing, taste, and light meaning all five of the senses are still intact (since the dog is still alive basically). At the 10 minute mark they “put to sleep” another dog and display similar experiments and after 10 minutes revive the dog. The dog apparently recovers to good health and live on for years.

While creepy and weird (especially when liking his nose) and sad, it’s truly fascinating what can be done. What’s scary is that while we don’t see these things happening as much today (well, not in the public eye of course), it’s crazy to know this and other experiments have occurred at one time or another.

Lord knows what’s happening today or what will be tried in the future. Some might say this is pointless and a waste of time, but if these experiments aren’t done then nothing new will be learned. And if nothing new is learned then we as people won’t grow. I guess as long as we’re careful, I see experiments to be a step forward.

You can find out more about this and another 19 experiments by visiting this website.
