Music to Reminisce
Many people say that a certain smell, piece of clothing, whatever it may be, reminds them of a certain place in time in their lives. You know you smell something (that smell reasonably good) and you go..”Oh crap, that smells reminds me of/when..” And just with things that go through your nose, the same happens with crap that goes through your eyes, and ears.
For me, that “memory trigger” seems to be the stuff that goes through my ears.. what the average human labels as “Music”.I think we all draw links to a certain song with certain events/moments in one’s life. I don’t think I am the only person that does it, right?..anybody? *Insert silence here*
The reason why I am posting this, is because I found myself here listening to Live’s “Shit Towne” for some weird odd reason and it triggered all these good times in my head. The type of crap that you go..”Oh shiiiit”. Maybe it’s not your favorite type of music, but regardless a certain song triggers that memory vault and you found yourself listening the freaking thing and enjoying the feedback you get from that given song.
As somebody that enjoys listening to music almost 24/7 I find this “side-effect” to this activity highly amusing and somewhat of a welcome side-effect. Whatever can get your mind off the things that need to be done and take you back to some goo ol’ times is always welcome.

Good times listening to that song man. That entire album actually. For some reason that album affects me the most in the nostalgia department. Reminds me of the Key Biscayne drives. *sigh*
It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 or 6 years since. Even looking at the pic I posted of myself with the PS3 in the next post I look “older” and that was taken Dec of last year.
And tomorrow marks yet another year on me. Oh boy…
