Savagery
So there’s this 5-year-old boy in Iraq who gets caught, poured gas on, and is set on fire. How fucked up could you be to do that? What reason or excuse could ANYONE have for ruining an innocent childs life? THERE IS NO EXCUSE!
As I get older I see more and more of the world slowly decay. Last week I came across a similar story of a teenage girl stoned to death for trying to get married with someone from a different village. Some might say it’s always been this bad or it was worse centuries ago. That may be the case but when I see acts like these done it just makes me sad to know that we as a society are rotting from within. Although superficially refined, the vast majority of us are still animals and this story proves just that. These acts don’t prove bravery or masculinity, they confirm cowardice.
A smile that could light up a room (and brought a smile to me) has faded into a mere glint after the barbaric actions. I hope he’s able to recover, even if only emotionally. I don’t know how, but if you can, please try and help this kid.
