Miami + Summer = Rainy Season (and humidity)

You would think that in a place like Miami in the sunny state of Florida, the weather would be nothing other than perfect. Well let me tell you that isn’t the case. Miami for the most part is sunny mostly year round. What they don’t let tourists in on is that summer is our rainy season. As I type this, I’m currently surrounded by the sound of the rain crashing against the window and the roars of thunder which tremble the very ground I stand (well, sit) on.

Oh, don’t forget the humidity! It’s actually pleasant while it’s raining but as soon as the sky clears up you better run to get some A/C because the humidity in Miami is no joke. Well, it’s pretty much like this year-round really, except for the few weeks of “winter” we can hold on to which actually bring very pleasant weather.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not taking this weather for granted. Florida in general has wonderful beach weather and I enjoy it (or try to at least) as much as I can. But for the most part we’re dressed up for work, going out, etc. and being outside is usually not an option (even at night sadly) unless you want to start sweating within 2 minutes. Not good at all.

Miami weather is nice to visit, but not the best to live in.
