Playstation 3 taking the lead over the Xbox 360?

I’m not one to be easily excited about games, those days are over. But if you read my blog post where I try to weigh the pros and cons of the xbox 360 and playstation 3, then this should interest you because this is a small follow up. And I’m getting a little excited…

I am leaning towards the Playstation 3. It just has so much potential and with games like Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, and another game I can’t quite remember (wireframe revolving puzzle type of thing). Not only are they graphically impressive but they look FUN too. I’m a big believer in that if I’m going to spend a LOT of money into something, I ought to enjoy it. Unfortunately with the xbox 360, there are very few games which I can say look either fun or that I’m looking forward to. Also the fact that Lair is coming out for the PS3 with a whooping reported 25GB of game content, that high capacity blu-ray player looks like it will get some good use (besides using it for movies of course). The fact that a high-capacity game like this might come out for the 360 and I’d have to invest another $150-200 in an additional device that will take up even more room in my media center is a big no-no.

Here’s you can see HD footage of the game Little Big Planet so you can see what I’m talking about. The game doesn’t seem out of hand incredible, but it looks really fun and amazing to look at.
