Taking the garden challenge.
I’ve been hit with a new “want” (starting to see a pattern?). I want to grow a small tree/plant. Having never really grown anything other than my own ego, I figured this would be a good learning experience. I could practice improving my patience and also fulfill my ever-longing need to be in touch with nature.
So far I have the following three trees/plants in mind: Japanese Maple, Bonsai, and Naga Jolokia (the worlds hottest known pepper). Why? Because. If I’m going to grow something, it might as well be something interesting. If I wanted something normal I’d just pee in any corner of my yard and see a 12 foot fern rise in a day. Whatever I grow needs to entertain me. I don’t want to be consumed by it but I want to feel like I’m obliged to it.
If I find any other tree/plant species of interest or if I decide on one, I will update this entry. Keep an eye out!
